Well, my site has been online full time for about 8 months now. I've ran a Google AdWords campaign two different times.

Here's my dilemma, I watch "Who's Online" and I see people with items in their cart. Sometimes just one item and others had 5 - 6 items. I watch as they move around the site and every one of them just drop off without going to checkout.

I've caught over 12 of them that just go away. I understand that the majority of the people who are driven to the site will not buy. In looking at statistics, I'm finding an average of 1 to 2 in every 100 who are driven to your site will buy. Having about 1000 driven to my site each day I've had ZERO sales. The only orders that have been entered are the ones we do manually.

Several times I've gone to my site to do "test sales". I would put items in my cart and then move around the site then head to checkout. Each time I've been able complete the order without any problems.

Has there been any other reports of this from anyone else? Any ideas on what might be going on?

My site is: http://www.tactical-usa.com

Thanks in advance!
John

you can install recover cart sales mod from oscommerce. that way you get a list of abandoned orders and, if the customer has created an account, also their email address etc. That way you can contact the customer after he has abandoned the cart and ask him about the reason why he has abandoned it. I offer a discount for every answers and managed to not only get some of the customers to come back but also found some ways to improve the site or fix an error that I overlooked before...

First think from me - you should change the design if you wish to increase the sales, and second think probably is security:

https://www.tactical-usa.com/ - This Connection is Untrusted

You have asked Firefox to connect
securely to www.tactical-usa.com, but we can't confirm that your connection is secure.

Normally, when you try to connect securely,
sites will present trusted identification to prove that you are
going to the right place. However, this site's identity can't be verified.

What Should I Do?

If you usually connect to
this site without problems, this error could mean that someone is
trying to impersonate the site, and you shouldn't continue.

Regards
