Hey guys!

I run an ecommerce store with over 10,000 physical products. The way the site is setup now is with image magic currently resizing the images for the category page so 10,000 images did not need to be created or added to the database. While doing that, it resizes them to the correct dimensions, but the file sizes stay the same severely effecting the load time of the page.

Is there a contribution that will also lessen the file sizes as well?

Nothing better than resizing them and setting them in the database. You can have irfanview do batch processing from a command line and batch ftp the images to separate folders.
