Hi, I am trying to remove the store name from the categories header tags to improve the SEO of the categories I know i can do it by disabling it in the index.php and this does achieve a perfect SEO of the categories but this is a blanket disablement that includes the homepage and I would like to still keep the store name in the homepage title.

in the file header_tags.php file there is also this setting which I have set to '0'

define('HTTA_CAT_DEFAULT_ON', '0');

but this doesnt work, any ideas would be a great help.

look a little further up
define('HEAD_TITLE_TAG_ALL', STORE_NAME);

change to
define('HEAD_TITLE_TAG_ALL', '');

that tag over-rides all others.. and is typically where store owners error
