Here is where we can discuss what we did with the money we received, how well we listen to our customers, and if you think we will be successful.

I'm going to double check a few facts, then post them, in the mean time, take a moment and tell me what you think of CRE Loaded the company and our ambitions now.

Wow, this is an incredible question/statement. I think cre's new direction has brought you all back on track. It "seems" to me that creloaded is meant for the small business owner one who is starting out, but I found they invest more into creloaded once there business has taken off. I think cre is back on track and would like to see where/what this company has vested/invested their future. I also hope this post stays on track and doesn't stray off topic.

Being new to the CRE software, I cannot compare the present with the past, but I can say that it is a difficult program to learn. Yes, there is the online university and the demos, but these only scratch the surface. There are also User's Manuals written by an affiliated party, but again, not even close to enough detail. Forums and groups don't care to answer questions in enough detail, that make sense.

I wound up using CRE via a designer (to whom I paid big bucks) who abandoned me mid website. I had no clue about this package (and very little about html) so I've had to scratch my way through freelancers while at the mercy of their trustworthyness, CRE knowledge and busy schedules (been pushed to the rear - a lot).

If this software is meant for the average Joe to be able to acquire the Standard version or purchase a higher version and obtain a better-than-average e-commerce website out of it, then there needs to be an in-depth and detailed instruction manual available... for purchase, of course!

There is still much for me to learn, yet nowhere to turn. But, I do have a website that I am relatively happy with and after checking many other packages when I thought I'd jump ship...it seems that CRE Loaded is better than any other.

Hope this helps and I'm sorry if I rambled too much!!!

Thanks again to everyone that is a part of our open source community. Thanks for your patience and your efforts in building the community. Here is my State of the CRE report.

NOTE: I had a meeting with our super awesome CEO - Greg Mcgraw (I am very happy to be working with him) and learned that I can't actually discuss the financial in any detail on the forums. However, I can tell you how things are going in general and answer your questions here.

Financially we are OK. Yes we had to let some people go, but only because of the commitment to our direction, not because we are broke. We are looking to be frugal with the investment, so we are not spending money like its out of style. Things are tight all around, the economy is hurting and people are losing jobs left and right. So we are not going to alot to our expenses right now as we may need to ride out a recession with everyone else.

That said we are working on several initiatives. A few are top secret. Some are not.

One excited thing is we just extended support for our products to ONE YEAR. You will find out more this week as the site gets updated and we send out our newsletter (be sure to be subscribed).

Another initiative is our Hosting Automation Initiative. HAI - which is a collection of tools for the web hosting industry to resell and install CRE Loaded at time of order and provisioning. We actually have a very large host (shh super secret) we are inking a deal with right now.

That brings me to our reseller and affiliate programs. We are working to roll out an aggressive reseller program that will give discounts, and featured listing to our partners. We have some resellers now, but soon we will have a partner list on creloaded.com and a new set of Authorized Partner images for them to use. Our affiliate program is back up and we are refining the terms there and getting new affiliate art ready for download.

And all that brings me to our new - new site, a reboot of our site, creloaded.com that is in the works. As you may know recently we got a fancy new website, but its hard as hell to use and find anything. Well, thats going BYE BYE and will soon be replaced with a truly CRE Loaded powered site with all the content, files, links and products you expect to find on our site.

But wait thats not all. As you may have seen from other post on the forums, we are going to not only reboot the main cre site, but the community side as well. CRE FORUMS will go away as a main navigational element and be replaced by a community property that includes forums, but also wiki and community downloads.

Thats the state of CRE off the top of my head. I look forward to answering your questions. And I have left our a few cool improvements on purpose because we are about to announce them shortly, so i did not want to steal our own thunder. :)

Hi,

I'm new to this system and would really like to start using it - I did quite a bit of research and decided CRE loaded is the best way to go.
However, after following the install directions to the last detail I cannot get to the admin screen, only the index of my site. I wish there would be some direction as to how to proceed and fix this. Should I unistall 6.3 and get 6.2 instead? How do I get 6.2?
Please help.
thank you.

Hi Sal

Just a quick note to point out the the documentation you mentioned isn't complete, as it doesn't have some of the new features in cre 6.3 covered.

Specifically, it doesn't cover the RMA module, which is what I'm having issues with. I've just started using it and need to know if, when I hit issue credit it automatically sends a credit note, or applies one to the account, or do I need to manually generate a matching credit note? :?

Sal, please get someone with no cre knowledge to have a look through the thorough documentation, as it really isn't thorough!

Thanks
Magpie

I do appreciate that cre loaded is trying to redo things and such but I do have a major concern at the moment. Were is the support team for Pro B2B users that have paid. I've emailed the support team last week as Im trying to get my clients store live and havent heard anything back and worse...the day after I emailed them and gave my login details to have them check out my problem...the site was hacked (that is not to blame cre loaded, but it was just a little odd). Still no word here.

I know you guys may be busy but for us that have paid a nice chunk of dough, it would be nice to know that we haven't been left in the dust just because your working on your own new site and patches.

Very sorry for the lack of response to your email. We had an issue with our email during the relaunch, which involved changing to new upgraded web and email servers, once we noticed the issue, we put an auto-responder on the address asking those attempting to email support to use our live chat instead.

Support Email is now working, please resend your email to us. We will work with you immediately to resolve your issues. Also please follow up your email with a visit via live chat during business hours tomorrow to expedite your issue.

Ok guys, I did as you said a little over a week ago and used your chat support. The guy that talked to me said he made a support ticket and neither my client or I have heard a word. This is getting rediculous. I've talk to you before Nick (through email) and there was never a problem of you getting my emails before, so either someone just doesnt want to mess with our question or this new software, new look, etc. is overtaking your minds. Please find the support ticket that one of your Chat people made for "hiding prices in b2b - motifltd.com". Im sure it is just something that I am not seeing or something is missing in our files. We would appreciate the ticket being responded too asap. I really dont like giving out logins to admin. areas and knowing that it's just floating around out there in the hands of some Chat guy.

we have the same problems with them, we get some chat people who don't know what they are doing and they say the same canned response "We see no problem here"

have you gotten your problem resolved? they haven't done a thing on our end.

Nope, still havent received a response and my client has people needing her store to go live so they can make accounts.

The guy that I chatted with didn't even try to see if there was a problem, he just said he'd make a support ticket for the support people to look into. There was never a problem contacting the support team before all this new software, new creloaded website, etc. As a web designer I know how important it is to keep up with your existing clients needs and this is not acceptable. I won't be purchasing this software again for any of my clients if this continues. $500 is a bit steep for this software and support.
