 Post subject: Using the salemaker function

I would like to implement an upcoming sale using salemaker. I know how to set it up, but the problem is, I can't see it online on my store. Fore example, I set it to begin today, 9-15-09. When I go to the store, there's no indication of a sale anywhere. How will my customers find it? Can anybody help? Thanks!
