I'm a newbie so this may be a really simple fix but I'd like to move my store from the root directory to a sub folder. Each time I move the files from the root to the sub folder, the site and admin login become unavailable. I tried changing the web address in the configure files but that didn't work either. Any suggestions would be most appreciated.

Hello,

You will have to do following things.

1. Please make sure that you copy all files from root to desired sub-folder.
2. Please make sure that you change the files includes/configure.php and admin/includes/configure.php after moving your webiste from root to sub-folder.
3. Also please make sure the ownership of the sub-folder should be correct as per your hosting environment.

If you still face any problem then please send in the errors which you are might getting while browsing your website from sub-folder.
