We have always processed our own credit cards and never used any third party processors. What I am reading is that I will not be able to do that any more. Is that correct?

You have always used a 3rd party.. they are the ones who actually process/charge the card.. and in all likelyhood.. there are two parties involved in that step..

You can still store/transmit/process any transaction as you always have.. just now you have to pass certain tests/standards.. to which your processor would be able to provide more information

If you are using the website to capture the card data which you then process via a physical terminal (pdq) then you will need to look at becoming PCI accredited yourself using a QSA (Qualified Security Assessor). If you just use a Virtual Terminal then it should be Level 4 required. If you process payments via your website using a 3rd party processor then you need to make sure your provider is PCI Level 1 accredited and indicate this on the questionnaire.

Becoming accredited for card data collection yourself can often be very expensive and time consuming (you will be required to undergo annual audits and pen tests and you will need to have documented procedures for all aspects of card data collection/processing as well as any other relevant processes). In view of this, most merchants will look to use a PCI accredited Payment Gateway (such as ourselves) for all card data collection/processing.

If you require assistance obtaining accreditation or would like to look at using our Payment Gateway please get in touch.

Thanks,

Simon

We created CRE Secure to be a Payment Bridge that moves your payment page to our PCI compliant datacenter in real time, so you can still use your existing gateway and your own layout and templates, without managing a separate template in our system.

Totalwebsolutions needs to contact me so we can work on getting their gateway connection into CRE Secure platform. I even sent them an email.

What gateway do you presently use?

Hi Salvatore,

I have not seen your email. Please could you resend direct to my email and I will get my Ecom administrators to take a look at it. Of course we will be happy to discuss getting the module working with CRE Secure.

Thanks,

Simon
