Hi Guys,

When I installed cre I swiched off php safe mode and now I can't run any backups from the admim. There is a warning saying php safe is on.
So there must be some code looking at the server globals as opposed to the sites settings.
So the only way to get past this is to turn off php safe on the whole server. So what is the answer, I don't want to do that as other sites on the server might be reliant on the php safe.

So there must be some code to change to look at the site setting instead of the server.

Exact message in tools
ERROR: Cannot use backup script when safe_mode is enabled.

Help please, so far I'm not doing any back ups

.htaccess
php_value safe_mode "1"

php.ini
safe_mode = Off

either would be per directory and or site.. depending on the level you place either file
