 Post subject: how to get category id from breadcrumb

I need to get category id from breadcrumb so that i can use it in an if().

I only need it for the product showing in the product_info.php page so I was thinking in the product_info_tpl.php file i could do this
if('category_id = 1')
{
add this to page
}
I can't find the variable name to use "????" Grrrrrrr!!!!
