Just installed this.
Everythings fine except Im getting some links like the following example:
TOOLS_EMAIL
Newsletter Manager
TOOLS_SERVER_INFO
TOOLS_WHOS_ONLINE

Where it should read:

Email
Newsletter Manager
Server Info
Whos Online

Anyone have a clue as to what i\could be cuasing this to happen?

a munged language file? Check syntax in your <language>.php file.

Course thats what I thought also but problem with that is this is the file form the contrib itself.

Double check which version you downloaded - there is a corrected version in the downloads area.

i did the same thing. David version 2 is screwed up.

I will be working on this one as soon as I'm done with Paypal IPN. This is being slowed by some problems with the OSC forum (its sluggish as can be and losing posts since sometime yesterday).

Look for a new version of Superfriendly Admin screen with direct connections for certain Source Forge resources - to support our move to using only Source Forge for tracking Bugs, and Feature Requests, in the near future (as in, coinciding with 6.1 release hopefully by Friday this week.

I've actually gone ahead with a fresh install to try to figure out
where this problem and the NAVBAR_TITLE problem are coming from.
I've checked my language files (which I had sent to you also) and couldnt find anything wrong. I really hate the poltergiest that exist.

Can you recomend a good app for
scanning PHP files formating errors?

I'm using html-kit on the windows box - and still exploring options on the Fedora Core 2 machine. I've been using Gnome - the default window manager, but may switch to KDE as I'm hearing some good things about the tools there.

i really need to get my linux box on my network so
I can actually use it for such. I have mandrake 10 with both KDE and Gnome. I've only used it for software/server testing.

Will give html-kit a look.
